My kids loved the Harry Potter books. My daughter must have read them each hundreds of times over, literally. I did not know until recently that each time for her was another opportunity to analyze the integrity and depth of the plot. She used the book series as a model (some good and some bad) to learn from, as well as pure entertainment.
But when L. Jagi Lamplighter (who also homeschools her children) published the first book in the adventures of Rachel Griffin, my daughter immersed herself in the world. This book series is written so well and the plot crafted with such skill, that all my daughter could say when she finished the first two books was, “More Now, Please!”
And we are so very, very excited in our house this week because Rachel Griffin is back with the third book in the series that will be released on October 14 (close enough to Halloween to make it even more fun).
You can pre-order Rachel Griffin and the Many-Splendored Dreamland at a very low price now (totally affordable for all of us who homeschool and have to watch our pennies) and if you haven’t read the others in the series yet, you have plenty of time before October 14 to read the other two with your children!
